On Tuesday night Prosecco DOC Imoco Volley Conegliano won the Italian women's volleyball championship, beating Numia Vero Volley Milan in the third match of the Scudetto finals by a score of 3 sets to 0, after also winning the first two matches (3-1 and 3-0). Conegliano has been the strongest team in Italy and probably in the world for years: this is its seventh consecutive Scudetto, the eighth in its history. Since 2019 it has won all competitions played in Italy, including the Coppa Italia and the Italian Super Cup (this year it has already won both). This season so far it has lost only one match out of the 54 played in all competitions; it still has two to go, namely the semifinals and the eventual final of the Champions League, Europe's main competition, of which it is the holder. In the semifinals it will again face Milan, which in recent years has tried in every way to overcome Conegliano, so far without succeeding. Should it also win the Champions League, for the first time Conegliano would end the season with five titles out of five, as it also won the World Club Championship last December.
