Democracy draws strength and vitality from respect for others, from dialogue and freedom — not from oppression, hatred, or the delegitimization of political opponents.
Today, we renew our commitment to ensuring that this anniversary becomes increasingly a moment of national unity, in the name of freedom and democracy, and against all forms of totalitarianism, authoritarianism, and political violence.”
