“Il femminile che cambia” film festival

(24 February 2017) ‘Woman’ is sometimes synonymous of creativity, passion, talent, love, wife, and mother and also synonymous with revolution, change, and courage. It is often cinema that sheds light on the many characteristics of the female universe. A special film festival at the Italian Cultural Institute in Athens kicks off in March: "Il femminile che cambia" on Monday, March 6 lasting until Monday, April 3. The films that will be screened at the ICI (at Odòs Patission, 47) are: “La sedia della felicità” (C. Mazzacurati, 2014), L’Accabadora (E.Pau, 2015), Scusate se esisto (R. Milano, 2014 ), Bianca come il latte, rossa come il sangue(G.Campiotti, 2013) and  L’Oriana (M.Turco, 2015). The film festival explores the dimension of the femininity at the crossroads of change, drawing attention to the many ways in which in the most critical circumstances, the female gender is expressed and reinvented. All the protagonists of the films are at a decisive moment in their lives that proves to be the starting point to their revival, experimenting a new way of being in the world among others. L’ORIANA

“L’Oriana” (2015) is a film by Marco turco starring Vittoria Puccini. The film closes the film festival “Il femminile che cambia” in Athens. It talks about different generations of women and women of different temperament through which a reflection on the professional life of the famous journalist Oriana Fallaci unfolds and from which her controversial yet fascinating relationship arises.
