(March 13, 2017) A fantastic world, made of bright colors and elegant compositions, is represented in the works of Marche painter Anna Claudi. 40 years after her death (May 12, 1976), the works of the artist born in Serrapetrona, in the province of Macerata, have flown to Argentina. After Rosario and Tigre, now the exhibition "Anna Claudi Pictorial Fables" makes a stop in Buenos Aires, where it will remain open to the public until March 22 at the Italian Institute of culture. The exhibition, organized in collaboration with the Marche Region, the Claudi Foundation, Centro Studi Marche, Marche Associations in Argentina and the Council of the Marches abroad, consists of works that represent the personal interpretation of the world that Anna Claudi managed to convey through her painting. The artist was very much appreciated at an international level: in 1952 in New York sends a group of works that are purchased by various collectors and in 1954 took place at the Odeon in Paris an exhibition dedicated to her work. In 1955 Claudi exhibits, in the presence of King Umberto II, some of her works in the Foz palace halls in Lisbon. Many of her works have been acquired by public and private collections in Italy and abroad. (PO / Red)

Born in Serrapetrona March 28, 1894, Anna happily spent her childhood surrounded by the attentions of two of his old uncle, a doctor and a priest, who will be for her two unmatched and lovable preceptors. Her innate love of nature leads her to spend the days alone in the green of the surrounding hills as if to fix the images that as a child she begins to draw on her school notebooks. During her classical studies in Camerino, she marries, just seventeen, Adolfo Claudi, which supports and encourages her love for painting. Still young, Anna Claudi meets Mario Adami, Roman fresco painter, returned from Paris, where he attended some of the main exponents of French Impressionism, including Pierre-Auguste Renoir. Thanks to the relationship with Adami, which in central Italy had frescoed halls of aristocratic palaces and churches, Anna learns the technique of the portrait and the fresco.
