Torino Jazz Night curators fly to Nepal

(April 25, 2017) Music and solidarity from Turin to Nepal. Waiting for the Torino Jazz Night, which will light the night of May 20 with over thirty concerts, the three white-night curators fly to Kathmandu, Nepal for a charity project in collaboration with UNESCO "Jazz To Nepal Dark Magus Orchestra Kathmandu EDIT ". From April 26 to May 2, Gianni Denitto, Mauro Battisti and Mattia Barbieri, curators of Torino Jazz Night, will attend concerts and workshops with local students. Artists Gianni Denitto and Ivan Bert developed the project at the UNESCO World Jazz Day (April 30th) at the invitation of the Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory and with the support of the Fao Mountain Partnership and EMMA for Peace. Seven, in total, the Italian artists involved in the project "JAZZ TO NEPAL Dark Magus Orchestra Kathmandu EDIT", who will hold masterclass on improvising techniques, dance and jazz music. The concerts will take place at UNESCO sites, Nag orphanage and Kathmandu jazz clubs. (Red)

At the same time, the international Jazz Day - Jazz To Nepal 2017, will take place on 30 April at CAP 10100. Organized by Mauro Battisti, Ivan Bert and Fabio Giachino, it will involve more than 70 artists from the city. Saturday May 20 will be the night of JAZZ NIGHT TURIN, within Narrazioni Jazz: international guests, three courses inspired by the classics of literature, music until dawn in more than twenty locations in the city. Concerts will animate Valentino Park, Piazza Vittorio Veneto and Vanchiglia in a succession of notes and energy, from late afternoon to early morning lights.
