(16 May 2017) The presentation of the volume "In the shadow of the clock" is scheduled on Thursday 25 May at 6 pm at the Italian Cultural Institute in Prague (Šporkova 14). Stories of Italians in Prague" organised by Redmont Consulting Limited and the magazine "Ciaopraga" in collaboration with the Italian Embassy and the Institute. On the occasion of this event, there will be a fundraising in support of the Immunotherapy Laboratory directed by the Oncologist, Luca Vannucci. The book features a preface by the Italian Ambassador in Prague, Aldo Amati. On the day of the presentation Ambassador and Professor Vannucci will give talks. "In the shadow of the clock" (All'ombra dell'orologio) stems from the Ciaopraga project - an art, culture, and lifestyle magazine founded around one year ago with a dual mission. On the one hand, to teach Italians and Italian speakers about Prague, and on the other hand, promoting Italy and Italian culture. "This volume is the result of more than a year of work and the daily commitment of a young, dynamic, innovative, and passionate group of people. Although they are a mixed group of people, they are all linked by a common project, without commercial purposes and driven exclusively by a great passion for culture in all its forms. Since its inception, Ciaopraga has promoted the exchange of values and ideas with the aim of offering its readers moments of reflection and sharing experiences that are not only the expression of Prague and Italian culture. Italian stories in Prague have exactly this goal. The idea is to try to have and stimulate at the same time, an active critical consciousness, capable of opening new scenarios. it is a project in which readers find themselves and are happy to identify themselves. This is demonstrated by the fact that the Italians in Prague, both through the blog and on the pages of the magazine, enthusiastically share their stories, dreams, challenges, but also adventures and successes. Stories that are told in the hope that they can serve as inspiration to anyone who reads them". (Red) 

ITALIAN CULTURE AND SOLIDARITY

Ciaopraga - in collaboration with Redmont Consulting - has decided to launch a fundraising campaign in support of the Immunotherapy Laboratory at the Institute of Microbiology of the Czech Science Academy in Prague (IM ASRC), directed by Oncologist Luca Vannucci . The funds will be used for a one-year scholarship for a researcher at the Laboratory. The Immunotherapy Laboratory is located in Prague 4 - in the large research area of the Science Academy. The Department of Immunology and Genotobiology (which is part of the Laboratory) is internationally renowned.
