Sergio Beercock’s seven-day tour in England

(17 May 2017) In his music one experiences the smells, the wonders, and "notes" of the Yorkshire villages where he was born, the rural cottages of Sicily, where he grew up, and the echo of the South American Andes which he discovered from an adolescent. The young Italian-English singer and songwriter, Sergio Beercock, returns to his childhood places, launching his English tour yesterday in London. He is accompanied by his debut album "Wollow" (800A Records / Audioglobe / Believe Digital), which premieres for the first time across the English Channel. Tim Buckley, Nina Simone, Pedro Aznar, and Bert Jansch are the first artists that come to mind when listening to his album in which minor folk gems such as Reason, Pennies or Battle for Attention coexist with those more directly related to English tradition such as The Barley and The Rye or Century; and to the Nordic regions such as Naked and Beauty of the Dirt and to South America such as An Exaggerated Song, Jester, and Silencio. Beercock is a multifaceted artist who, despite his young age (class of 1990), navigates with ease between music and theatre. He wrote the lyrics and played almost all the instruments in the album: he arrived to the studio with nothing but his guitar, his voice and the intention of "photographing" the previous year. After yesterday's shows, (at the Nest Collective - morning live Radio Session - London, and Tuesday Tunes - 81 Renshaw Street Cafe - Liverpool); Beercock will be in Liverpool today (Mellowtone Records night). He will then stop in Oxford (May 18 - The Albion Beatnik w / Sebastian Reynolds) followed by London (May 19 - The Nest Collective - Campfire Club Fridays), and will complete his tour in Oxfordshire (May 20 - Wood Festival), and Hull (May 24 - The Adelphi). HIS ALBUM

"Wollow" has been well received by the press in Italy and will now be featured in the UK in 7 concerts that will also see Beercock participating in the singer and folk musician Sam Lee's famous radio show "The Nest Collective" who is also the founder of a series of innovative events and concerts throughout London. The tour will end in Beercock's hometown of Hull.
