(30 May 2017) "We are happy to participate in this beautiful event" reads the "Cantori Materani" Facebook page that see "Bulgaria closer and closer". The Cantori Materani are the protagonists of the concert scheduled on Saturday, June 10th at 18:00 in Plovdiv organised by the Italian Institute of Culture of Sofia in collaboration with the Municipality. The Archaeological Museum of Sofia will host the Cantori Materani under the direction of Maestro Alessandra Barbaro who teaches at the State Conservatory of Music "E.R. Duni" as well as an organist and director of Cathedral of Matera chapel. The fascinating repertoire of the polyphonic chorus that ranges from Gregorian to Modern music as well as Renaissance, Baroque, Romantic and Contemporary music not forgetting the Italian folk tradition and Spiritual music. THE CONCERT


The Cantori Materani concert is part of the cultural exchange between Plovdiv and Matera in view of the year 2019. The event is part of the 53rd International Chamber Music Festival, which will take place from June 10 - 20 June in Plovdiv.
