(20 July 2017) A warm round of applause in New York for guitarist and Italian composer, Roberto Fabbri. Friday June 30, Fabbri performed for the first time at Ernst Stiefel Concert Hall at Mannes School of Music, at 55 West 13th Street. As a guest of one of the most important international guitar festivals in the world, Fabbri enchanted the American public with a selection of pieces from his latest album titled "Nei tuoi occhi" (In Your Eyes) combined with other compositions from his first albums, "Beyond" and "No Words". The Big Apple experienced the songs that brought the guitarist from Rome fame and appreciation around the world. In this concert, the classic guitar acts as a bridge between tradition and the present into a unique parable capable of making the listener experience classic sounds to those of the seemingly distant pop. The authoritative American journal "Soundboard" wrote of the Italian artist: "Flamboyant and with a surprising technique, surely a pleasure for the public. His compositions range from extraordinarily beautiful to extremely exuberant and fiery, often with a pop sensation. " This is a very intense period for the eclectic composer: after his successful live concert in New York, he performed solo concert at the "10th Festival International de Guitare De l'Ile de Re" in France and at the "16th Guitarra de Velez-Malaga International Festival" in Spain, where he played his arrangements for guitar and orchestra of music for film with the prestigious Sinfonica Provincial de Malaga (sold-out at the Teatro del Carmen), among the composers whose music he played was Ennio Morricone with whom Fabbri performed in Belgrade in 2007. Roberto Fabbri is the only Italian guitarist to appear in "Pure Emotions - Classical Guitar Love" - one of the most important survey projects designed and published by Sony Classical Italia for the 2014-2015 autumn-winter season. The collection, currently exclusive to iTunes, features songs from the most virtuoso guitarists in the Sony Classical catalogue, including Andrés Segovia and Julian Bream. The album includes three pieces composed and interpreted by Roberto Fabbri ("Rainbow Song", "Il cavaliere errante" (Knight-Errant) and "Inside me"), which gains him the reputation of one of the most appreciated guitarists for the emotion he transmits and for his virtuosity. Fabbri is the only Italian guitarist to be part of the exclusive Sony group of classical guitarists composed of by Julian Bream, John Williams, Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, and Sharon Isbin.
