(2 febbraio 2018) On January 25th Italian Ambassador to Niamey, Marco Prencipe and the Head of the Ministry of Youth Entrepreneurship, Mounkaila N'Goila presided over the launch of the Project for Business Development Initiatives in the regions of Tahoua, Niamey and Zinder. The ceremony was attended by the Head of Mission of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) and the Representative of AICS to Niamey, Fabio Longobardi. The project, financed by the Italian Cooperation and co-funded by IOM for a total amount of €3,300,000 - equivalent to about 2,160,000,000 FCA - aims to increase, among other things, youth employment by strengthening technical skills and supporting local businesses. It also aims to inform the target population on employment at the local level and set up business activities as an alternative to irregular migration.
