Simonetta Tancredi's piano recital will take place on March 22nd at 18:00 at the Italian Institute of Culture of Beijing. The programme centers entirely around Italian composers, spanning three centuries of music. It begins with the Venetian musician Baldassarre Galuppi, followed by Domenico Cimarosa (Neapolitan school of 1700) including Francesco Paolo Tosti's three unpublished pieces for piano. The programme ends with a performance of pieces by Gioacchino Rossini, from Pesaro - famous throughout the world for his operas. This year marks the one hundreth anniversary of his death. (red)
