There were 640 people disembarked in Lampedusa between yesterday and Wednesday. In a small boat, with 36 people on board, including 9 women and 2 minors, the Port Captaincy that provided assistance, also found the body of a baby of only 20 days. The doctors who arrived at Pier Favarolo carried out the first checks on the baby's body, noting that the death corresponded to what the mother already reported: the child suffered from serious respiratory problems. The mother of the child was transferred to the hotspot in the Imbiacola district, together with the other shipwrecked people. Yesterday a woman had died in the health center of the island after having disembarked together with 43 other people. The last landing in Lampedusa took place shortly after midnight yesterday and involved 28 people from Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Cameroon and Nigeria.
