Record exchange with the Czech Republic, Italy fifth global partner

(February 10, 2017) - Confirming the particularly positive trend of the past two years, Italy crosses France and Austria and becomes the fifth trade partner of the Czech Republic. After the record marked in 2015, in fact, in 2016 the trade exchange between the two countries reached the figure of almost 12 billion euro (11.8) , an 11.6% increase over the previous year. Italy thus becomes the fourth largest European trading partner and the world's fifth for the Czech Republic (behind Germany, China, Poland and Slovakia). A significant growth in exports to Italy which has touched 6.3 billion euro, is matched by the data on purchases from Italy, that grew to 5.5 billion euro. "It's a real pleasure to witness this extraordinary trade growth which is a source of pride for the Italian system in the Czech Republic - said Ambassador Aldo Amati - We are in the presence of a market, the Czech Republic, which offers a wide range of opportunities that must be constantly explored in its various regions by stimulating the great interest of the public towards made in Italy products and the Italian way of life ". The strategic position of the "automotive" and mechanics industry, which weighs in the interchange Italy - Czech Republic for € 5.2 billion (+13.9% compared to 2015), is confirmed.
