(February 17, 2017) Chopin, Schumann, Rachmaninov. They are part of the repertoire of Antonio Acunto who will perform at the Italian Institute of Culture in Vienna Tuesday, February 21 at 19. The "Grand Piano Concert" will give the public the opportunity to know a great Italian pianist: Acunto regularly holds concerts in Europe as soloist and in chamber ensembles performing in prestigious halls. Last year he won over Germany: In January 2016 he made his debut, in fact, at the Konzerthaus in Berlin with great success at the presence of many personalities from the world of culture and politics, including Chancellor Angela Merkel. And thet’s not all. Also last year, TV Globo Brasil and the "ARD Deutschland" broadcast a documentary about his artistic life. (Red)


ABOUT / STUDY AND CAREER


Antonio Acunto was born in Ischia and studied piano at the Conservatorio San Pietro a Majella in Naples and at the Conservatory GB Martini of Bologna, brilliantly graduating and debuting at the festival "Bologna Sogna" just after that playing the Preludes Op. 23 Rachmaninov. From 1990 he studied with the renowned Russian pianist Tatiana Nikolayewa at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and attended during the five academic years the Master Class by Alfons Kontarsky and Sergej Doresky. From 1998 he studied the concert repertoire with Noretta Conci Leech in London, deepening the Romantic repertoire of Chopin, Liszt and Schumann.
