Festival of Italian music, ten years in the Big Apple

(March 23, 2017) An important goal for a prestigious event. The New York Festival of Italian Music reaches this year its tenth edition and it is scheduled for Sunday, September 10 at the New York Theater Master. The Festival was born from an initiative of the Italian Cultural Association of New York, and has represented since its origins a vehicle for the promotion of Italian culture and cultural exchange between the United States and Italy, through one of the most important and appreciated Italian art forms: music. Ten artists from abroad and from Italy will compete on stage to win the prize of the musical review. They will present only new songs and a jury of music experts will announce the winner. The New York Festival of Italian Music is a constantly growing event both in terms of participation and prestige: last year there were more than 1000 spectators. The latest editions have also been broadcast by RAI Italy and live by Italian radio station in New York, ICN Radio. The latest edition, conducted by Pupo, was attended, in recent years, by artists such as Paolo Vallesi, Ron, Frankie Hi Nrg and Maestro Vince Tempera. Morover, the New York Festival of the Italian Music has also hosted the cast of one of the most popular television series among Italians abroad: "A Place in the Sun". (Red)
