(April 21, 2017) "Time and Voice" is a project of translation and musical transposition of some texts of the Sicilian Poetic School created by Enrico Coppola, musician and art historian, and Giuseppe Di Bella, songwriter and director of the poetry series "Sete". The appointment is scheduled for April 24 (19:00) at the Italian Institute of Culture in Barcelona. "The idea of this project - it is stated in the note of IIC presentation - is basically that of linking different cultural moments and different disciplines, starting with the common root of our heritage. Everything was born from the will to revive the texts of the Sicilian poetic school from which Italian language and literature were born. The first engine of this choice must be sought in the interest of the cultural fact that the roots of this literary production were the Sicilian, though a cultured and medieval Sicilian, which is now lost. All this is linked to the desire to regain a sense of value today, in the most imminent context in which to reaffirm the centrality of the Mediterranean, its streams are not at all discounted, linguistically, musically, culturally.
