VeronaFiere in China: new agreements on the Silk Road

(May 19, 2017) New business horizons are opened in China and the Asian continent for the Italian trade fair system. To play a prominent role on the Silk Road is Veronafiere, these days on a mission to Beijing and Shanghai: President Maurizio Danese and General Manager Giovanni Mantovani met Ambassador of Italy, Ettore Sequi, Consul General in Shanghai, Stefano Beltrame, and the Director of Italtrade in China, Amedeo Scarpa, who support the initiatives promoted by the Verona Fair. In addition to the institutional appointments that saw a meeting with the president of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China, Davide Cucino, the president and the general manager are tightening new agreements and renewing those already tested with Chinese partners, thanks to the Verona in China since 1998 and a representative office in Shanghai. A list of strategic partnerships is being added to the deal with the Chengdu Fair (Sichuan), right on the Silk Road. The Verona delegation on mission in China has signed a protocol to deepen the terms of a new cooperation between Veronafiere-Fieragricola and the Sichuan Agricultural Expo promoter of Sichuan International Exhibition Co. Ltd. The agreement - the terms of which will be defined in detail and signed shortly - envisages for the forthcoming 2017 and 2018 editions of the respective fair events, the organization of the presence of groups of Chinese and Italian companies producing machinery, technology and support services for agricultural, zootechnical, viticultural and fruit and vegetable sectors. The partnership also extends to the promotion of b2b meetings and mutual training for the knowledge of the respective markets of origin. Two Sichuan delegations come from two delegations, institutional and commercial, led by the CCIPT (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Chinese body responsible for the b2b operating organization and trade fairs) that will be on June 15 and 16 Verona Fair.
