Theatre: Giorgia Mazzucato on stage in the United States and Mexico

(26 May 2017) - Giorgia Mazzucato, Padua class 1990, is one of the most talented actresses, directors, and authors of recent years. Since a very young age, she was able to win-over criticism and the audience. She became appreciated and well-known on the national level and is now preparing to cross the borders and represent Italy in the United States and Mexico in these three anticipated and prestigious appointments. This summer, Giorgia Mazzucato will bring the show "Viviamoci" and represent Italy directly from the San Francisco International Fringe Festival (19, 25, 26, 29 June and 1,2 July), at the Hollywood Fringe Festival (June 17, 21) and from the Tijuana Fringe Festival (23, 24 June). A student of Franca Rame and Marco Baliani, she was awarded by Paolo Poli and reviewed by the Nobel Prize winner, Dario Fo - who spoke of her as a "a theatre professional" when she was young. She is also the winner of the Roma Fringe Festival and the Avogaria Theatre in Venice and will perform the show "Viviamoci" (co-production: Maria Beatrice Alonzi and Giorgia Mazzucato - Stabile Production of SITI and Fringe Italia) for the occasion translated into "Lifegate": a witty and intelligent monologue with an empathetic and profound societal insight. "Viviamoci" consists of three stories that colour each other by exploring the different atmospheres and sensations that oscillate in opposition between the comedian and the tragic. The show is a true inward and outward journey through the different characters portrayed by the actress and the worlds that are created between encounters and clashes. (Red)

THE SHOW

The transformational monologue, "Viviamoci" consists of stories that colour each other by exploring the different atmospheres and sensations that oscillate between comedy and tragedy, happiness, rage, despair, hope, fear, nostalgia, surprise, and remorse. The show is a real inward and outward journey of three different characters, interpreted by the actress and their worlds created between encounters and clashes: a young mother weeps with joy then with pain, the little daughter, energetic and happy, journeys through imagination and his word games and a beloved stuffed animal, a young venetian mechanic grows with hard work, between satisfaction and fatal mistakes. Everything in an unbridled confession of love for life.
