University of Siena, strengthens collaboration with the East

(12 June 2017) After agreements in China, the University of Siena continues its internationalisation path towards Asia. The Rector of the University, Francesco Frati has signed an agreement with Incheon National University in South Korea to organise a Master's degree in "Public Health, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology and Clinical Development", allowing a further extension of the existing Master in Vaccinology. The Master programme, which will be announced in the coming weeks, will be held in Siena at the Santa Chiara Lab and will be part of one of the strategic projects of this facility, the Institute for Global Health. Part of the training activities will also be held at Incheon National University. (Red)

THE PROGRAMME

The course will be open to graduates in biology, life sciences, medicine and areas of medical expertise, or graduates of public health, biotechnology and development degrees from South Korea and all over the world. Significant are the studies of Incheon University in the fields of public health and biomedicine: they constitute a scientific and cultural contribution that will determine the specific training that will be offered by the Master programme, alongside the collaboration with a number of Korean and international biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries that will support this initiative.
