(July 7, 2017) A campus from the University of Pisa in Pietrasanta will host foreign students arriving in Tuscany thanks to agreements and exchange programs. This is one of the future projects that were discussed in a recent meeting at the University of Pisa between Dean Paolo Mancarella, the Mayor of Pietrasanta Massimo Mallegni and Dean Jack Hawkins of Troy University in Montgomery, Alabama. "We talked about the potential collaboration between our universities," said Dean Mancarella, "in particular the possibility of enrolling bachelor and master degrees with joint pathways leading from double degrees and student exchanges to the development of joint research projects. I think the dynamism and enthusiasm shown by Dean Hawkins in front of our proposals are definitely pivotal in completing this important international agreement. "(Red)

ABOUT / PIETRASANTA-MONTGOMERY TWINNING

The conversation between the two deans was born on the thrust of mayor Mallegni and thanks to the long friendship that binds Pietrasanta to the state of Alabama. The twinning between Pietrasanta and Montgomery, the capital of the state, dates back to 2006, and it’s a collaboration mainly focused on cultural projects and the visual arts sector.
