The Italian Embassy in Berlin will host the 11th Comites ‘Italian of the Year’ Award 2017. The recipients of the award are Lisa Mazzi, founder of the non-profit organisation ReteDonneBerlino for the integration of women and against violence; and Andrea D’Addio, the promoter of various cultural initiatives and networks for Berlin’s Italian community. They will receive the winning works of the competition “Un’opera per l’Italiano dell’anno” (A work for the Italian of the year): “Deposizione” by Linda Paganelli and “Berlin Vision #2” by Alessandro Cemolin. The awards will be given by the Italian Ambassador to Germany, Pietro Benassi. The Director of the IIC Berlin, Luigi Reitani and the President of Comites Berlin, Simonetta Donà will also participate at the award ceremony. The event sheds light on Italian excellence in Berlin in the fields of art and music. It will be moderated by the actress Elettra de Salvo and also see the participation of a trio of Italian women, ‘Belle Ciao’.
