'World Disclosure' in South Africa with the works of Luigi di Sarro

From March 1st to May 18th, on the occasion of the fortieth anniversary of the death of Luigi Di Sarro, the Italian Institute of Culture in Pretoria will host the exhibition on Luigi Di Sarro, "Luigi Di Sarro - World Disclosure" at the Edoardo Villa Museum of the University of Pretoria in collaboration with the Centre for Documentation of Contemporary Art Research Luigi Di Sarro - a research institution, exhibition space, and historical archive dedicated to Di Sarro, active in Rome since 1981.  The aim of the exhibition is to diffuse his multiform artistic production to the world, still considered highly relevant today. The "World Discolure" exhibition is open to the public and showcases works by Luigi Di Sarro. It was curated by Prof. Paola Ballesi, Professor of Aesthetics, former Director of the Academy of Fine Arts of Macerata. The curator knew the artist personally and has written about his work. At the root of the concept of "World Disclosure" is the dialogue between the mostly sculptural works of two Italian artists of the 20th century: Luigi Di Sarro and Edoardo Villa. The exhibition consists of eight sculptures and twelve blow-ups, reproduced from original drawings by Di Sarro in 1972, which are flanked by eight sculptures by Villa. It presents two artistic visions that enter into direct dialogue with each other that allow viewers to reflect, discuss, and reason. (9colonne) And they make people reflect, discuss and reason.
