Fifty Years Later, Young Italians is Back

As a tribute to the 50th anniversary of the Young Italians exhibition which was held in 1968 at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston and at the Jewish Museum in New York, dedicated to young Italian art of the time, the Italian Institute of Culture of New York proposes a similar survey. The collective exhibition at the IIC will focus on research in today's young Italian art to support and share it with the United States and reflect on its peculiarities. The selection consists of twelve artists under the age of forty born, raised, and based in Italy or living in New York, who already have significant exhibition experience, awards, and that seem to have a specific outlook in common. The artists are: Davide Balliano, Danilo Correale, Irene Dionisio, Antonio Fiorentino, Silvia Giambrone, Antonio Domenico Mancini, Elena Mazzi, Luca Monterastelli, Ornaghi & Prestinari, Gian Maria Tosatti, Eugenia Vanni, and Serena Vestrucci.
