Cinema, "Bismillah" is the only italian film presented at Encounters

After wining the David di Donatello, the Seoul Festival, and the Giffoni Film Festival, the short film "Bismillah" 's international acclaim continues - written and directed by Alessandro Grande. A few days after qualifying again for the Oscars, where "Bismillah" was chosen out of 6,000 works from all over the world at the Rhode Island International Film Festival in the United States, Grande and his film, in fact reach another important recognition in Europe: the film will be presented at Encounters in the United Kingdom - one of the most important festivals in the world, valid not only for qualifying for the Oscars, but also for the BAFTAs and the EFA (European Film Awards).Another satisfaction for the Calabrian director: "It's amazing how this little film can be so universal in reaching the hearts of so distant spectators, I am amazed every time.A result that I want to share with all the people who worked on this project and made it possible ".The short film was also produced by Grande with Indaco Film by Luca Marino, the Calabria Film Commission chaired by Pino Citrigno, and directed by Francesco Loreto and Rai Cinema, distributed by Zen Movie. Bismillah is the only Italian film in competition at Encounters and will be screened in the evening of September 28th in Bristol, along with the best six short films from all over the world.
