The Usina del Arte cultural centre, in Buenos Aires La Boca neighbourhood, will host the concert of Umbrian pianist Giovanni Guidi on Sunday, August 26th. The concert (18:00) was organised by the Italian Institute of Culture in collaboration with Usina del Arte. The pianist will focus on piano to fully express his inventiveness and multifaceted persona.One could describe his style as intimate and collected, thin and sumptuous, lyrical and dissonant, sensual and ironic.A style that derives from Evans, Bley, Jarrett, and Tristano, but which has been assimilated to become an extremely personal and creative language. Born in 1985, Guidi has performed in the most important festivals and theatres around the world.In Argentina he will focus on on original pieces borrowed from Brian Eno, Tom Waits, Osvaldo Farres, Leo Ferrè, and the jazz tradition.
