The cultural ferment of Italians abroad is growing. A new wave of Italian literary festivals outside Italy began with the success of the FILL - Italian Festival of Literature in London, which with its first edition in 2017, sold out and now returns with a second edition. The wave continues with the birth, this year, of IDEA Boston, which at the beginning of November will offer a programme dedicated to Italian and Italian-American literature and culture. And it will continue, in May 2019, with the birth of an Italian literary festival in Munich - a brand new project that is mobilizing Italian energies in the German city. The three festivals have announced now they have joined a collaborative network. Each of the three companies has its own distinct identity, but the three festivals will offer mutual advice and are studying joint initiatives that will start next year. (9Colonne)
