(12 October 2018) The Italian Cultural Institute of Madrid collaborates with the Festival Internacional de Jazz de Granada in the organization of a concert of the Italian musician Joe Barbieri on November 8th at 21:00 at the Isabel La Católica Theatre in Granada. Organised by the Municipality of Granada, GEGSS and the Diputación of Granada, and with the sponsorship of the Obra Social La Caixa and the collaboration of the Asociación GranadaJazz, the Festival is one of the oldest shows in Europe and the only Spanish member of the Europe Jazz Network. Thirty-eight years have passed since its first edition in 1980, when it welcomed the best of national and international jazz in history on its stage: Miles Davis, Oscar Peterson, Charlie Haden, Art Blakey, Tete Montoliù, Dizzy Gillespie, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Bebo and Chucho Valdés, to name a few. Also this year, in autumn, jazz will invade the heart of Granada, once again bringing its sounds to the theatres, clubs, and streets of the city.
