(17 december 2018) On December 21st at 19:30, over 200 performers, the Lucca Philharmonic Orchestra and the Versilia Lyrical Choir return for the sixth time to the Musikverein in Vienna. The programme of the evening consists of opera arias and compositions by Puccini, Verdi, Wagner, Mozart, Catalani and Richard Strauss, directed by Andrea Colombini.  The event is promoted by the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde of Vienna and by the Puccini Association and Lucca in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Vienna. The Puccini and Lucca Festival, a non-profit association, every year trains more than 50 young talents of Italian opera singing, and then offers them job and career prospects in Italy and abroad.
