Lisbon – This evening at 6:30 p.m., PIENA – Books People Visions, the Italian bookshop in Lisbon, will host a talk with photographer Paola Agosti on the occasion of the release of the exhibition catalogue “Venham mais cinco. The Foreign Gaze on the Portuguese Revolution (1974–1975)”, curated by Sérgio Tréfaut and published by Faux and Edições Tinta-da-china. Organized by the Italian Cultural Institute of Lisbon, the event closes the exhibition opened on May 23, which features 200 large-format photographs by leading international photojournalists documenting the Carnation Revolution and the Portuguese decolonization process between 1974 and 1975. Among the “foreign perspectives on the Portuguese revolution” are seven photographs by Paola Agosti, who will also lead a guided visit to the exhibition on Saturday, August 23, offering a personal and original take on her images and experience.
