(6 June 2018) The "Nuovo Cinema Italia" festival (New Italian Cinema) returns to Vienna this year. Guests include the two directors, Gabriele Muccino and Silvio Soldini tomorrow 7th will be at 20:30 and June 12th at 20:30 respectively. The programme includes twelve films in original language subtitled in German: "A casa tutti bene" (There is No Place Like Home), by Gabriele Muccino, "Il colore nascosto delle cose" (The Hidden Color of Things) by Silvio Soldini, "Fiore" by Claudio Giovannesi, "Indivisibili" (Indivisible) by Edoardo De Angelis, "Lasciati andare" (Let Yourself Go) by Francesco Amato, "L'ora legale" (Daylight Savings Times) by Salvo Ficarra and Valentino Picone, "La ragazza del mondo" (Worldly Girl) by Marco Danieli, and "La tenerezza" (Holding Hands) by Gianni Amelio. In addition to these premieres in Austria, a are four other films that pay a tribute to the city of Rome: "Sacro GRA" by Gianfranco Rosi, "Il Pranzo di Ferragosto" (Mid-August Lunch) by Gianni Di Gregorio, "La Grande Bellezza" (The Great Beauty) by Paolo Sorrentino, and "La Dolce Vita" by Federico Fellini. The events will be held at the Votivkino in Vienna. This is a collaboration between "Made in Italy", the Italian Institute of Culture of Vienna, Schweizerische Botschaft in Österreich, Votivkino, Filmladen, and Polyfilm.
