(7 June 2018) Today at 18:00, the Italian Institute of Culture of Munich will host an event dedicated to the birth of Italy. Paolo Mior, a history from Friuli living in Munich where she teaches Italian, will be in conversation with Professor Filippo Carlà-Uhink – the author of “The Birth of Italy”. The book retraces the events that led up to the groups of people co-living in ancient Italy to be identified as inhabitants of a singular region, at the time when Rome, as a republic was nearing its end and began its existence as an empire.
