Books: Fabio Geda presents

(8 June 2018) Fabio Geda travels to Vienna to present the German editions of his "Anime scalze". The event - organised in collaboration with the Italian Institute of Culture Vienna - will be held at the Hartliebs Bücher bookshop on Wednesday, June 13th at 18:30. Silvia Chiarini will moderate the debate with the author on June 13th. The protagonist of the book is Ercole, a boy forced to become an adult by himself. He and his sister Asia are struggling along with their father, trying to hide family problems behind the façade of a serene youth. Until, suddenly, everything around Hercules begins to collapse. Nothing seems to stop the avalanche that is overwhelming him, not even Viola, the girl he has been in love with for some time. With this poignant story, Geda proves to be a skillful master in recounting the difficulties and the wonder of looking for one's place in the world. Geda, from Turin, class of 1972, has dealt with child problems for several years. He writes for "Linus" and "La Stampa" about the challenges of growing up and education. He has also published the novels "Per il resto del viaggio ho sparato agli indiani" (For the rest of the trip I shot at Indians), "L'esatta sequenza dei gesti" (The Exact Sequence of Gestures) and "Nel mare ci sono i coccodrilli" (There are Crocodiles in the Sea).
