Exhibitions, Arte Povera:<br>a creative revolution at the Hermitage

The exhibition "Arte Povera: A Creative Revolution" (Arte Povera: una rivoluzione creativa) will remain open until August 16th at the Hermitage in St. Petersburg. The exhibition will showcase approximately sixty works in part from the Rivoli Museum and other public and private collections. The exhibition retraces the history of Arte Povera through its most iconic works: from Pistoletto's "Venere degli Stracci" (Venus of the Rags) to "Respirare l'ombra" (Breathing the Shadow) by Penone, from Attaccapanni (di Napoli) (Clothes Rack of Naples) by Fabro to Inteferenza nella gravitazione universale (Interference in Universal Gravitation) by Anselmo, until the "Rosa-Blu-Rosa" (Pink-Blue-Pink) by Zorio. Also featured are works by Alighiero Boetti, Giulio Paolini, Pierpaolo Calzolari, Jannis Kounellis, Emilio Prini, and Pino Pascali. A section of the exhibition is dedicated to Italian artists considered precursors of the movement such as Lucio Fontana, Alberto Burri, Piero Manzoni, and Carla Accardi.
