Italian films at the Burgas<br>International Film Fest

Italy will also be featured at the Burgas International Film Fest in Sofia, July 20th - 27th. "La giornata" (2017) and "Settanta" (2013) are, in fact, the two Italian films by the young Apulian director, Pippo Mezzapesa, featured in the third edition of the Festival. The Festival - organised in collaboration with Italian Institute of Culture in Sofia - brings artists from all over the world and focuses on the theme of tolerance and integration through the seventh art. "La giornata" is the story of Paola Clemente, forty-nine-year-old Apulian farm worker who dies of fatigue under the sun on July 13th, 2015. "Settanta" brings us to the Timburi district - the most polluted in Europe -  of Taranto, the closest to the Ilva company headquarters. Here, in the shade of the chimneys, Enzo 'Baffone' and his son Egidio decide to "sell their destiny" to those who have been betrayed by it.
