"SaveMyBike" project puts technology at the service of sustainable mobility. With the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Pisa, it has made it to the final round at the 2018 RegioStars award for the best initiatives by the European regions through the use of Community funds, in the category "Reaching sustainability through low carbon emissions". It will be possible to vote for this project until October 7th. The most voted will be awarded on October 8th during "Week of Regions and Cities". Selected among 102 candidates and the only Italian project among the finalists, its aim is to encourage the use of bicycles in the city and to prevent theft. It consists the installation of a device that allows the identification of the bicycle by the competent authorities, and the consequent communication to the owner its discovery.
