The young and talented Bolognese jazz singer, Chiara Pancaldi is preparing to make a stop in Bulgaria for the Bansko Jazz Fest. The event - organised in collaboration with the Italian Institute of Culture of Sofia will take place on Saturday, August 4th ( 21.30 to 23:00). Winner of numerous prizes and competitions, Pancaldi stands out for her fresh and velvety voice that reaches expressive tones of intense force. Born in 1982, Pancaldi has dedicated herself to studying the piano since she was a child. The piano has always accompanied her self-taught singing. She attended several seminar at the conservatory, where she graduated in jazz singing with honours. Her encounter with Michele Hendricks that leads Pancaldi to devote herself to jazz full time, with surprising and well-documented results of her debut album "The Song Is You" (Dodicilune, 2012) and from numerous performances in prestigious festivals and jazz clubs in Italy and abroad. However, she is not the only Italian guest in this traditional event: among the Italian musicians invited to the Bansko Jazz Fest are Andrea Nunzi, Stefano Senni, and Nico Menci.
