(25 January 2019) The 39th edition of FITUR, one of the most important international tourism fairs, inaugurated by His Majesty the King Felipe VI, together with Queen Letizia, opened on January 23rd in Madrid.  The Italian Ambassador in Madrid, Stefano Sannino, has inaugurated the Italian pavilion, set up by ENIT, where several Regions (Campania, Calabria, Emilia-Romagna and Veneto), the Republic of San Marino and the city of Cremona, as well as numerous Tour Operators from other Italian regions showcased. The last edition was attended by over 140,000 exhibitors, from 165 countries, and over 110,000 visitors. The international presence in the event has grown by 11% and currently accounts for 55% of the total shareholding.
