(29 January 2019) As every year, Delhi will host the India Art Fair, a fair that reflects and represents the fervent contemporary art scene of the country, offering particular and unprecedented glimpses of the cultural landscape of neighbouring countries.  The programme of the fair - from January 31 to February 3 - involves the participation of a series of galleries, artists, private collections, artistic collectives, national institutions, cultural events, and festivals. The goal is to allow local and international public to get in touch with the history of culture and development of the South East Asian regions in an innovative way. On the occasion of the fair, the Italian Cultural Institute of New Delhi will exhibit a selection of 13 works belonging to the Farnesina Collection at the India Art Fair. The Farnesina Collection one of the major collections of contemporary Italian art, housed in the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This selection of works aims to convey to the Indian public a perspective of what the contemporary Italian art scene has to offer, ranging from the photography of great masters like Gabriele Basilico and Mimmo Jodice, to the Roman school and great innovators like Luigi Ontani. At the end of the fair, the Farnesina Collection will be exhibited at the Italian Cultural Institute of New Delhi, from 13 February to 2 March.
