(1 february 2019) In the framework of the "1918 - 2018 What is democracy?" review, The Italian Institute of Culture in Munich has organised two round tables on the theme "Italy, France and Germany: a European comparison I and II". The first - on February 14th at 18:30 at the IIC - will focus on "Boundaries and identities in the aftermath of World War I - Contributions and debate". Speakers include Marco Bresciani (University of Verona), Michael Schwartz (Institut für Zeitgeschichte Munich, Berlin), and Thomas Serrier (Europa Universität Viadrina Frankfurt on Oder). The moderator will be Thomas Schlemmer (Institut für Zeitgeschichte Munich, Berlin, Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich). The second round table will be "The threat to democracy" and will be held on 21 February at 19:00 at the Institut Français.
