(18 february 2019) The "Paesi Bandiera Arancione" (Orange Flag) Association, in collaboration with the Albert II Foundation of Monaco, the Municipality of the Principality of Monaco, the Italian Embassy and the Italian Touring Club, has organised a convention entitled "Innovative Practices for Sustainable Tourism". The "Paesi Bandiera Arancione" were the protagonists and had the opportunity to exchange with the Principality's bodies, which have successfully applied policies aimed at saving energy and using new technologies for decades. There are three Basilicata towns that bear the "Bandiera Arancione" mark recognised by the Italian Touring Club for their historical, cultural, landscape, and hospitality peculiarities: these are the Municipalities of Guardia Perticara (Potenza), Aliano (Matera), and Valsinni (Matera). Participation in the conference by the three mayors of these Basilicata towns represented an important opportunity to promote tourism.  Mayors and representatives of 54 "Bandiera Arancione" Municipalities representing 18 different Italian Regions were present in Monaco.
