(20 february 2019) The Italian Cultural Institute of Brussels, in collaboration with the Accademia Chigiana of Siena, presents for the first time a season of concerts dedicated to the best young talents in Italian music. The famous institution, where musicians such as Abbado, Barenboim, Mehta and Accardo have studied, is committed to training young instrumentalists, singers, composers, conductors, and sound designers, but also to give them new opportunities to perform in prestigious international venues. Great classical repertoire and openings to the contemporary are alternated in the musical programme of this first edition, which is also an invitation to learn more about the extraordinary reality of the Chigiana. Since 1932, every year high-level summer courses are held along with the exciting Chigiana International Festival. The first concert will be held on February 21st at the Italian Institute of Culture: the Adorno Quartet (Edoardo Zosi, violin, Liù Pelliciari, violin, Benedetta Bucci, viola, Danilo Squitieri, cello), composed of young performers who are students of the Accademia Chigiana.
