On the first day of spring, poetic art is celebrated as the founding transmission of memory: International Poetry Day was established by the 30th Session of the General Unesco Conference in 1999 and celebrated for the first time on March 21st. On the occasion of the 2019 International Poetry Day, the Italian Cultural Institute of Dublin will host, on March 21st, an evening of poetry readings alternated with live music, in the company of guitarist Marco Ramelli, musicologist Antonio Cascelli, and other guests. The event will include pieces and music by Alda Merini, Jacques Arcadel, Emily Dickinson, Trilussa, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Franz Schubert, Salvatore Quasimodo, Maria Luisa Spaziani, Francesco Petrarca, Pellegra Bongiovanni, John Dowland, Claudio Monteverdi, and Patrizia Cavalli.
