A lecture by physicist Fritjof Capra will be held on April 15th at the Italian Cultural Institute in San Francisco, presenting a new interpretation of Leonardo's genius from the perspective of scientific thought in the 21st century. What will emerge will be an image of Leonardo da Vinci as a systemic thinker, ecologist, and pioneer of ecodesign and biomimetics. Fritjof Capra, Ph.D., physicist and systems theorist, is the author of three books on Leonardo da Vinci: Leonardo's Science (2007), Leonardo's Botanical (2009), and Learning from Leonardo (2013). The event was organised by the Italian Cultural Institute and the Italian Consulate General in collaboration with ISSNAF and the Leonardo da Vinci Society of San Francisco, on the occasion of Italian Research Day in the World, with the support of ABOCA Edizioni.
