Italian agri-food exports to Lebanon grow

Beirut - Italian agri-food exports to Lebanon in 2023 reached 62.5 million euros (+46% compared to 2022 and +86% compared to 2021), focusing on products based on cereals or milk (19%), food preparations (16%), beverages (9%), meat or fish-based foods (8%), cocoa products (8%), dairy and eggs (8%), cereals (7%), animal feed preparations (6%), vegetable preserves (5%), flours (5%), meats and offal (4%), coffee, tea, and spices (2%), oilseeds and fruits (1%), fats and oils (1%), fruits (1%), and fish and shellfish (1%) [data: TDM]. In 2021, Italy's market share of global food exports to Lebanon was 3.7%, placing our country in eighth position behind Turkey (12.8%), Argentina (8.6%), Egypt (6.5%), Algeria (5%), Brazil (4.6%), France (4.3%), and Germany (4.1%) [data: WITS]. This is stated on the ICE website, which will organize an "Italian Point" of 28 square meters within HO.RE.CA. Lebanon, the only Lebanese fair dedicated to the entire hospitality and catering sector, whose next edition will take place from April 16 to 19 at the Seaside Arena in Beirut. (9colonne)
