Wood-furniture exports: positive sign from the UAE

Rome - "Excellence of Italian creativity, ingenuity, Italy that creates: these are the keywords chosen for the first day of Made in Italy, of which, as the wood-furniture and design sector, we have always been ambassadors to the world. Therefore, we welcome with enthusiasm and participation this initiative strongly desired by Minister Urso, which precedes the opening of the 62nd edition of the Salone del Mobile - Milano." So stated the President of FederlegnoArredo, Claudio Feltrin, on the eve of Made in Italy Day, scheduled for Monday, April 15th, outlining the export map of the sector according to the 2023 Reports produced by the FederlegnoArredo Studies Center. The first market remains France (over 2.4 billion euros, equivalent to 16.5% of total exports), with a value in line with '22 (+0.2%). The United States follows with 1.7 billion (11.7% of the total) and a decrease of 8% from '22, third is Germany with 1.3 billion and a -5.4%. In fourth place is the United Kingdom with a -6.4%, fifth is Switzerland with a -3%, while Spain in sixth place remains stable. China remains in seventh place with a significant decrease of 17%. A positive sign for the United Arab Emirates, which are in ninth place with a +5.4% (329 million euros). (9colonne)
