The goal of the inaugural 'La Course Aérienne 101' was to foster camaraderie and friendship among Nigerien and Italian soldiers through sports. Recently organized by the Italian contingent at Air Base 101 in Niamey, Niger, the event saw approximately 250 runners participate in two courses—5 and 10 kilometers respectively—comprising military personnel from the Italian support mission in Niger and soldiers from the Nigerien armed forces. The competition concluded with an award ceremony held within the Italian base.
