Halle - Italian Autumn begins in Halle, Germany, running from November 6 to December 12. The event opens with the Puccini 100 Gala, a piano concert in honor of the centenary of Giacomo Puccini's death, featuring pianist Diego Cannizzaro and soprano Letizia Colajanni. The Cinema! Italia! tour will make a stop at the Zazie cinema. A theatrical evening with the Mediterranean Academy of the Actor from Lecce is dedicated to the renowned theater and film director, actor, and writer Carmelo Bene. The literary program continues with a tribute to Elsa Morante and book presentations by Olga Campofreda, Maike Albath, and Andreas Reimann. Finally, a musical evening will feature Stefano Torti, a genetics researcher, musician, and guitarist. The event is organized by the Institute for Romance Studies at MLU Halle and Literaturhaus Halle, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Berlin. (9colonne)
