Osijek – The ninth edition of the Italian Cuisine Week in the World is launching, an initiative by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs dedicated to promoting the Italian agri-food sector and its rich eno-gastronomic traditions. This year’s edition is themed “Mediterranean Diet and Roots Cuisine,” aiming to showcase Italian cuisine with a focus on its traditional roots and the recognized role of the Mediterranean diet in promoting health within the framework of a balanced and sustainable lifestyle. The Italian-Croatian Chamber of Commerce is organizing a scientific conference that will take place on November 13 at the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences in Osijek from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The conference will feature lectures by Nevena Skroza, a professor at Sapienza University of Rome, and Iva Dorić, a graduate in Nutritional Sciences. After the lectures, there will be an olive oil tasting, highlighting one of the Mediterranean diet’s essential traditional foods. (9colonne)
