Argentine tour of the play

Buenos Aires - The play "Gray Absence" by Roberto "Tito" Cossa is set to tour Argentina from November 22 to December 8, with stops in Mar del Plata, Miramar, Balcarce, Rosario, Villa Gobernador Gálvez, Funes, Buenos Aires, and Berazategui. Marco Marsilio, President of the Abruzzo Region, highlighted the significance of this initiative in strengthening cultural ties with the Italian-Argentine community, emphasizing the universal values of belonging and rediscovering one's roots.

The tour, organized by the Teatro Stabile d’Abruzzo and Teatro del Sangro, will begin in Mar del Plata and conclude in Berazategui. Directed and translated by Stefano Angelucci Marino, the production features a cast including Rossella Gesini, Giordano Gaspari, Paolo Del Peschio, and Marino himself. Scenic elements are designed by Luisa Nicolucci, costumes by Vize Ruffo, and masks by Stefano Perocco di Meduna.

Gray Absence tells the story of an Italian emigrant family who, after opening a restaurant in Italy to survive, confronts themes of exile and the search for identity. The play delves into the challenges of living far from one’s homeland, reflecting on the profound connection to one's roots and the importance of self-discovery in a context of ongoing migration.

Marsilio stressed that reclaiming one's roots and respecting traditions are fundamental values to be nurtured, helping to maintain a strong bond with the Abruzzo community abroad. (9colonne)
