From Monday to Friday, BigItalyFocus provides an information overview, ranged from development aid to made in Italy
Brussels - Alma Mater is the Italian university with the highest number of projects funded by the latest call from the European Research Council (ERC), totaling almost 6 million euros. The University of Bologna has received three new ERC projects: awarded by the European Research Council (ERC), the body of the European Union that recognizes talented scholars engaged in cutting-edge research activities, the ERC Consolidator Grants are designed to support scholars with highly promising scientific backgrounds who aim to consolidate their research activities in Europe.
The three prestigious grants were awarded to Annalisa Bonafede, professor at the Department of Physics and Astronomy "Augusto Righi," for the BELOVED project, which will seek to uncover the mechanisms behind the amplification of magnetic fields within galaxy clusters; to Emanuele Campiglio, professor at the Department of Economics, for the BELIEFS project, which will shed light on the complex interaction between firms’ positions, investment choices, and climate policy strategies, with the aim of identifying credible pathways toward a zero-emissions society; and to Elisabetta De Cao, professor at the Department of Economics, for the HARSH project, which will study for the first time the contextual causes that give rise to and perpetuate violent disciplinary practices carried out by parents on their children, going beyond the family determinants previously examined and delving into emotional violence, an area in which little is still known.
